ERICK GALINDO

About

Erick Galindo is a redheaded Mexican American originally from Compton. He somehow survived all that and grew up to become a five-time Telly Award-winning and two-time Podcast Academy Award-winning writer, creator, director, podcast host and showrunner. He has created projects in film (A Christmas to Remember/Broken English), TV (Mexican Beverly Hills/CBS), radio (NPR/LAist) and podcasts (Out of The Shadows/iHeart) that tell universal stories through a very specific lens of being a biracial misfit caught between two worlds in Southeast Los Angeles during the 90s. His seminal Ambie Award-winning podcast Idolo: The Ballad of Chalino Sanchez (Futuro/Sonro) was just optioned by Universal TV with Erick attached as the writer/EP and his critically acclaimed podcast WILD (LAist Studios) was honored by Apple as having best episode of the year in 2021. Erick is also currently developing an animated TV series with fellow Mexican redhead and world champion boxer Canelo Alvarez (Cartuna).

He is repped by Valarie Philips, Doug Frank, Anthony Kaczmarek and Kasey Muraszko at A3.
